Donate to a campaign
Election campaigns can be very expensive. Printing flyers and signs
and renting an office are all part of a good campaign. if you support
a local candidate, consider making a donation to help them get their
message out to voters. The City has a generous rebate program designed
to subsidize campaigns. You can get up to 75% of your donation back
from the City. (ie: if you donate $200 to one candidate, you will get
a cheque from the City for $150) Click here

• Get your friends involved
Elections are important and are as cool and fun as you make them. Anyone
can run, and anyone can get involved. Volunteering is a lot more fun
to do with friends, so talk to your buddies and tell them that if they
care about the city then they should try to find some time to contribute
to the 2006 election.
